A BKK Governor race bet with Dad

So, my dad (who usually is one of the most politically inactive people I've known in my life) had been absolutely determined today to go cast his vote in the Bangkok's governor election today.

Why? For some odd reason, he's absolutely dreading the possibility that one of them may actually win the race and become the next governor. (I don't think I should reveal which one...)

So, being the cynic that I have become, I just told him that there's no way that his ONE vote would actually be the deciding vote. One thing led to another, and now I have a standing bet with my dad: IF the person he votes for today wins or loses by just ONE vote, I'll have to pay him 10k.

(Okay, the probability of THAT happening is VERY small--zero, for all intents and purposes. I was actually thinking about betting a million, but then again, I thought back about how fate is not always on my side, and who knows what twisted joke fate has in mind for me IF I had decided to bet an amount that I don't have and would never be able to pay... >.<)

In any case though, this was a very one-sided bet. I made it way too early in the morning before my brain woke up enough to realize that I won't be able to profit from this at all.

Oh well, at least I'm pretty sure I would not lose...!
